Undergraduate Students
The RISC lab is current accepting applications for undergraduate research assistants (RA) for Fall 2022 and Spring 2023. Dr. Albanese has an excellent track record of undergraduate RAs going on to Ph.D. and other graduate school programs, largely due to the wealth of training that these RAs obtain while working with Dr. Albanese. These training experiences include (but are not limited to): Neurophysiological data acquisition and processing, self-report and clinical interview administration, and ecological momentary assessment data collection.
Interested applicants should be highly motivated, responsible and hardworking individuals interested in pursuing a graduate degree in Psychology or a related field. Requirements include: 3.5 GPA or above and commitment of 9 hours/week for at least two consecutive semesters. Exceptions to the GPA requirement are acceptable if extenuating circumstances are discussed in the application. Application materials should include a Resume/CV (including GPA), brief summary of your interests in the field, career goals, and availability. Undergraduate RAs can work with the lab on either a volunteer or course credit basis.
Application materials can be submitted by emailing Dr. Albanese ([email protected]; Texas A&M email to come) and Dorothy Dreelin ([email protected]). We recommend applying before the semester that you hope to start working in the lab, but are open to all interested applicants!
